My hand slaps against my mouth as I try to shut myself up. Don't make too much noise...or he'll hear you. A vehicle's door opens then slams shut. Mama told me that I was a beautiful girl when I was little. Mama said that I had the prettiest tan skin, soft wavy black hair, and the most enchanting emerald eyes. All I can hear is the loud ring of silence. It's broken only once a day, when a small portion meal comes through a slot that is immediately sealed after. It's dark. Nothing but black.
