Written in 2000, based in the late 90s.

In a time before broadband, when computers used phone lines to connect to the internet and large files had to be stored on zip discs - before CDs were writable, before flash drives, when Minidiscs were the largest data-writable media available - before GPS and smart phones, back when people still had land lines and still used phone books, before Google took all other search engines into back alleys and kicked the shit out of them, an electronic spy network was alive and well.

Before Edward Snowden, before Wiki Leaks, a man called Nicky Hager raised concerns about communications privacy. His writing provided much of the information used in this book. There have been many others over the years, but Nicky's writing captured the technology and organisations in play at a point in time.

This book has no political agenda, but uses this information to create a work of fiction, based loosely on this network of technology.

Before ISIS became synonymous with terrorists, a number of organisations used 'ISIS' to mean some variant on 'International Secret/Signals Intelligence Service'. The ISIS referred to in this book is not in any way based on the ISIS of today, but more on Bond villains.

The Virus Within: The Unranked (Book 4)

50 parts Complete

Season 4 of The Virus Within Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again. When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
