Runecrest, a magical place (literally) where things like hunger, poverty, and war no longer exist. A place where everyone is born with the power to command magic, and the education on how to best use it.

For Hiral and his friends, their fifth and final year in the academy is just like everybody else's, required military training even though the 'army' has seen very little action. Nevertheless, they are obligated to learn how to use their magic in teams, and for the entertainment of the masses.

Given the results of the last Sortie, lots of difficult questions are coming in the direction of the 7th. Those questions are the least of Hiral's worries though as Antropha, a relic from the past, is once again brought to bear.

Knowledge is power. Dark magic is forbidden... yet it whispers your name. Every child who grows weary of the ordinary eventually hears the call-an invitation from something greater, ancient, and hungry. Those who answer awaken within the Academy's walls, willing or not. Here, magic isn't learned. It is survived. The corridors are carved with failure. Echoes of those who believed talent alone was enough. Graduation isn't expected. It is a rarity-an honor won through suffering. Most students shatter. Many disappear. And some... die screaming. Do not expect mercy. The instructors will not save you. The Academy gives only fragments-ruined texts, volatile spells, and secrets better left buried. Everything else must be taken with blood, cunning, and a mind unbreakable enough to resist madness. You will enter these gates as nothing more than a fragile human. You will walk through fire, deception, monsters, and the intoxicating pull of forbidden power. And when you leave-if you leave-you will never be ordinary again. Your path will be carved by your own hands. Will you rise as a revered Legend? Ascend as a feared God? Or fall into the abyss as a Demon unmatched and unforgiven? Welcome to the Academy. The horrors inside these walls are nothing compared to what waits beyond them. Survive... or be erased. When water runs dry, blood becomes the only currency. This book is just for fun and a relaxing book with relaxing characters for me if you decide to read it thank you very much. My writing style is strange for this one but I hope you enjoy.

In a world where the line between magic and madness is razor-thin, The Obsidian Academy is a place of brutal education for the young and the gifted. Located on the fringes of reality, the academy trains its students not only in arcane magic but in the darker arts of manipulation, control, and subversion. Here, the stakes are not just high-they are existential. Every student is forced to confront their own demons, both internal and external, and survive the trials that test their limits. Alara Greyraven, a young woman with a past she can't remember, is reluctantly enrolled at the Academy after an inexplicable event marks her as one of the "chosen." With no knowledge of why she's here or what she's meant to do, Alara must navigate the tangled webs of deception, betrayal, and forbidden desires that pervade every corner of the school. Alongside her are a select group of outcasts and misfits who, for reasons they cannot explain, have been bound to her fate. The rules of the Academy are simple: Power is the ultimate currency. Survival is a game-and the players must sacrifice everything to win. Magic here is not just about spells; it's about power, influence, and control over both the living and the dead. As Alara uncovers the truths buried within the academy's obsidian walls, she must decide who she can trust-and who she can use-for her own ascent to the top. But in a place where nothing is ever truly what it seems, she must also confront whether the price of power is too great to pay.
