In my world, evil reigns over us all. Ever since the explosions worldwide, humans have pretty much vanished.  The worst to come were the creatures. These creatures are violent and intend to kill. The survivors from the explosions have only two options: be eaten alive, or hide for the rest of your existence. Not many places are safe any more. These demonic beings are more intelligent than anything I have ever seen. they can find you anywhere, which is why you can't hide too easily.
I'm determined to end them at all costs. I, Percy James Hamilton, WILL avenge my lost friends and family, especially my little brother Todd and his twin sister Olivia. I'm going to get my life back. This is no longer survival. This is war, revenge, and a blood bath. Welcome to my killing field. We will no longer be the hunted, but the hunters.

The world is hardly ever what it seems. We have seen our heroes fight monsters, gods, titans, and even the very Earth itself. But, there were rules and procedures to be followed. There were prophecies that defined the path to victory. Now the enemy has no limits, no safeties, no restraints. Or Mortals aren't as blind and powerless as the gods seem to think... This is a completed story in told alternating POVs with Percy, Nico, Jason, and Piper being the main focus. The first several chapters are a bit rough, but my writing improved as it progresses. I will edit the early chapters to better match the quality of the later chapters when I have some spare time. This is not a story you should approach lightly, as there are numerous triggers including, but not limited to: blood, torture, death, and attempted suicide.

Book #3 in The Fire series BLAKE RIVERA "You're the leader of a gang." Aiden yells. I look up at him. "You don't think I know that?" I yell back. "I am doing everything I can to protect my people!" Suddenly the lights went out; a flashing red light comes on as alarms sound. "You need to do more." Aiden says. "Otherwise this. It's never going to stop." "They're attacking." I realize. "They're always attacking. And they're not going to stop until we're dead." "Or surrender." I mumble and Aidens head snaps up to look at me. "You won't. You can't." "No, what I can't do is kill Felix." "The man you loved isn't there anymore. Can't you see that? He's gone. A monster wears his skin. What's it going to take before you realize that?" I shake my head. "Evacuate. Make sure everyone gets out of here. No one dies today." "Well, someone should. And we both know who it needs to be." Aiden says before he leaves the room. I know Aiden is right, but I can't kill Felix, even if he keeps trying to kill me. I shake my head and sit back down. Just because everyone else was leaving didn't mean I had to also. Maybe I can talk some sense into him. I sigh. I've tried to already, but maybe this time it will be different. Maybe I should tell him the truth. Maybe I should tell him Nadia is his daughter. The door to my planning room is thrown open but I stay seated. I look up as men flood into the room, soon followed by Felix. His emotionless eyes find mine and he cocks his gun. "You should have run with the others."
