What happens if you have to defend it?
It's a classic story: a Scottish ex-mining town that's barely survived its own demise since the '80s. They take care of their own here, which means that people like Alex, a young English woman who was dragged up by this town rather than raised by it, get pushed to the sides when it comes to friendship, loyalty, belonging.
