"I've lost you haven't I." Colton's eyes began to tear up. I stared at him not showing any emotions. "No," I looked him up and down, "You never had me." Colton clenched his jaw obviously not trying to cry, "Freya please I'm so sor-" "Goodbye Colton." With that I closed the door, but I knew that he had me, he still has me, and he will forever have me.
.

Oh Freya what a stupid girl. She doesn't know the basic difference between love and friendship. For example, Colton is her best friend, and she loves him, as a friend. Yes that's it just as a friend. Yes. Maybe. Okay no she was hopelessly in love with Colton Johns.
.

All of her love and friendship ends when he moves away. But don't worry there will be a happy ending right? There always is in movies, oh but wait, this isn't a movie it's the real world. And here they take your happy endings, chew it up, and spit it out.
.

Love is overrated, even if it is with Colton Johns.

[COMPLETE] Genesis Munroe, a virtuoso college freshman has always been the shy type, the good girl, the smart kid who sat in the back of class and practiced classical piano after school. So rooming with a male was something different. She came to college for an experience, a search for something new, but her roommate, James du Bellay doesn't talk directly to her and instead leaves passive-aggressive notes on the door. He puts his stuff on her side of the room, shuts her out of the room, and ignores her. Well, he ignored her until she auditioned for the music team where he was the president. He wanted to deny how good she was, and he didn't care, until he found out he was staring straight at his competition. She had a 5.8 GPA, and she took piano classes for fun, while he took it out of necessity. She was a threat to the palaces he had built at his school and he needed her gone. In the coming day, James finds out that Genesis is in love with his best friend Chad Douglas, a snobbish self-proclaimed alpha male vlogger. So he takes advantage of her obsession. James agrees to teach Genesis how to make Chad fall in love with her, and he gets to watch Chad break her heart so she leaves this school crying (but Genesis doesn't need to know that). He needs her gone. Or he thinks he does. Wait, damn was she always this hot? Is it the short dress he just bought for her, or is it just her? Wait, what was his goal again? Oh right, he needs her gone, pronto. * mature due to cursing and sexual scenes *

COMPLETED ------------------ Main characters Milo and Thalia have been friends since Middle school. What will happen when feelings turn into more than just friendship? All of their friends are now on the path to trying to get the two of them together. Will it work out or does the road just lead towards heartbreak? The story is told by the points of view of the two main characters. Read on to see life in different aspects through the two friends. This is my first story, so feedback is gladly accepted, and obviously needed!! ~faruhway ------ "I love you." The words come out so unnaturally it's as if I have never learned them before. "Again" Janell says, as she looks deep into my eyes. "I... Love...You." This time I tried annunciating the first letter of each word with as much emphasis as I could muster up. "Again!" I'm getting sick of hearing that. "I LOVE YOU!!" Janell looks at me with utter disgust "Why the heck did you scream it? Nobody wants to be shouted at Milo. Now take it from the top." I take a deep breath, getting ready to say for possibly the millionth time. "Thalia, we have been inseparable since middle school. It may seem a little strange to you, but I have had these feelings for a while now. I... I know the timing might be a little off, but I want you to know that.... I love you." "How is it that we've been practicing for two hours and you are just getting worse?" I roll my eyes as a short response. --- Completed November 2018

"Growing up around fairytales, Disney princesses and teen films, we are raised to believe that happy endings are always in store for us. But more often than not, reality sinks in, and the happy ending doesn't occur. Especially in high school. The main reason I liked this book so much was because it was so real. It was a love that was destined to crumble from the start, and yet, you kept pushing your luck. We've all been there. The late night texts from your crush waking you up to talk about nothing, the unexpected butterflies when you see him, the gross flaws he possess that you don't seem to notice, or the small things he does that turn you on. Most importantly, we learn that love truly is blind. We're unobservant to the world around us when our teenage love obsession is staring down at us with those big, brown, adorable eyes of theirs. And then when we wake up from this dream-like state that is a first love, we realize that he's not this perfect, older, mature man... but this boy."
