Lydia , her mother and her sister Allison moved into the estate when they were young.
Fenced off from the world they are taught perfection in hope that the estate will stay as flawless as they made it.
Lydia calls it home - the 'outsiders' call it the Barbie estate.
Everyone and everything is a competition
Lydia always spared her mothers feelings by carrying out her rules so that she could be the perfect child
But after seeing Allison grow up she realises the outside world has to be better than the estate
She plans on escaping, leaving everybody behind.
But in a twisted turn of events ends up returning with more than she left with.
She meets Stiles and helping him, the outsider, meant breaking all her mothers rules
