Lucy's day started like any other she readying herself for another day facing countless suitors men her father had chosen for her to marry men with money and power. Lucy's father always had something to gain from each man that he proposed Lucy marry. The first meeting was with Sir William he was a kind man but something gave her an odd feeling about him he hid way too much of his past to make her comfortable. She found their was no end the way he spoke as if she was just a piece of property make her feel that if she was to marry this man she'd be nothing more than another piece of livestock. He was very handsome and had it been just that Lucy would have gladly married but she wanted love more than anything. Surely she had a father and my mother but Layla had died some seven years ago and her father could not look at her without sadness in his heart so eventually he just stopped looking. Lucy didn't even get a glance she missed him the man he used to

Jude and Grandine, are rulers of two rivaling Kingdoms: Celestial Coast and Dragones. Both leaders wanting an everlasting peace between them. Almost immediately Grandine suggests that their children be wedded once they were old enough. Jude agreed happily and they both decided that to ease into everything that they should meet every summer and make the kids bond. Young Natsu and Lucy don't take much of a liking to each other and soon grow to hate one another. As they grow up, they learned to dread summertime, knowing that they'd see each other from June until September. Time flies and soon they're seventeen. Once again they're forced into the same room. But this time, something amazing happens. They fall in love at first sight. Their parents almost couldn't believe it. From wrestling to sword fights, to waltzing beautifully in front of the entire Kingdom of Dragones. Infatuated beyond comprehension, Natsu declares to arrange the wedding. Lucy however was hurt that her beauty seemed to be all that mattered in his decision. The next day Lucy and Jude left, both with sullen faces as Natsu watched, heartbroken. After a long talk with his mother about how to tell Lucy he loved her, he set off to find them. What he found was a dying Jude, claiming a great beast had kidnapped his beloved daughter. "It's not what it seems.....it's not what is seems." he had told him. His dying wish was for Natsu to save her. From that point on a determined fire blistering with heat and emotion lit inside his heart. Training everyday with his childhood best friend Jellal, he set his sights on the vermin that dared to take his princess.
