It's Hope's freshman year in high school. She walks in with high hopes of starting anew, leaving the past in the past. With her best friends, she is determined to have a drama-free freshman year, and maybe even get herself a boyfriend. But she never expected that her life would take a turn for the worse. Friends are lost, depression settles in, and anger takes over. Yet at the same time, true friends are made and passions are found. How could life be so cruel and fair at the same time? Hope's life is destroyed and yet made in just this year. How could that be? Perhaps you can blame life's fair cruelty.
