Sebastian and Reece are sent down from Dator Vitae (Giver of Life) to rid the world of sinners, as blood drinkers. On Reece's first feed, Kasey, she can't bear the guilt and offers this prostitute to take Reece's place in paradise, with Dator Vitae. So now Reece is a fallen angel, an Angelus Mortis, (angel of death) surviving the earth as a beautiful half mortal being no longer with wings.
