Tessa is almost 17, and has been through a lot in her teenage years.
Her dad is a drunk and she has lived with him alone since 13. Her mom had abandoned her and her father in the middle of the night, taking all 8 of her siblings with. And because of it her dad had made up stories saying that her mother didn't love her anymore.
But she knew that wasn't true. She knew that there was some kind of reason. She just didn't know what.
