“You’re not a good person” I heard him whisper as I was backed into a tree.
He bought his hand up to my face and gently rubbed his thumb across my cheekbone.
“And bad people”, he chuckled “well, they eventually get what’s coming to them”
He removed his hand before bringing it back swiftly across my face. I spun so the side, but my hair was yanked back pushing be back up against the tree.
“Darling it looks like yours has come” he struck me across the face again, and again.
Then I was down in the shallow water and dirt.
