"You are a slave my dear. A slave of enchantment. Now, you must run."
The Circle. That's what they called it. The controlling panel of torture and hunger. It was the first shape children would learn about, the first place people would hear of when something went wrong, and the last place anyone would look in for the one person to save them from a horrible life. But that's where it started. Everything changed that year. A world of secrets would be revealed. A time of war would emerge. All because of her.
Weather never knew why she was a slave to a master she never met. She never knew what her name would be if she lived in a normal society. Her life was lived with curiosity and hope- something that scared those higher than her. She didn't know why she questioned everything. It was like nothing was good enough until there were answers. But what she did know, is that she wanted to escape, and escape fast. Because the more she asked, the more the answers came to haunt her.
It didn't take long for Weather to find that there are more people than just her that want to flee their torturous life. After a woman she had held dear to her heart dies, Weather is left with just one piece of advise:
Don't look back. Ever. Keep running and whatever you do, don't stop. Go.
Now it's up to Weather, her best friend Leaf, and one of the newest additions to the Circle to find a way to freedom and hopefully, answers to a type past no one knew Weather withheld.
Now there are only two questions left:
Who can she trust, and how far will she go before life as she knows it crumbles at her feet?

Betrayal will shine through an open cut, love will show no weakness, and the strength of trust will grow with more fortitude than ever before in this thrillingly adventurous and romantic series: Slaves of Enchantment.

Being born with a golden spoon in her mouth, Valeria has been accustomed to having people at her feet. When certain events intervene with her trust in her family, Valeria begins to notice things the press failed to. As more and more clues emerge from the shadows, as more people become apart of this mess, Valeria makes it her mission to get to the bottom of all the lies she's grew up with. Secrets. Deception. Illusions. Would Valeria be able to push past the truth that her family was feeding her or will she herself take down anyone who gets in her way? -------------------------- This is book 1 in the SERPENTS' series. This book contains extreme themes that may not be suitable for specific audiences, I've warned you. The love interest is violent, and the stereotypical Made Man, meaning this book will have non-consensual relationships, where the male lead is quite literally the incarnation of the devil himself.
