When Alex was 15 she had to move away. She left her dad, the house she has known for most of her life, and lastly, she left her heart with the boy she loved so much. Miguel Andrews. The thing is Miguel didn't know that and he could care less if she left or not. 
     Alex and Miguel have been close to the hip since Alex had moved to town, but when an incident occurs that makes him hate her and her dad make a tough choice, Alex is left with a broken heart. She moves with her uptight aunts who are gladly happy to take her so they can change her into a respectful young lady she needs to be. 
     But what happens when it's time for her to move back with her dad? Is she still the same? Is her heart still broken? Will Miguel finally realize she had no fault into what happened?
