Daniel J. Howell, patient AA651, has been in the London Mercy Asylum (LMA) since 12:37 pm, Tuesday December 17th 2013, for murdering the only person he has ever loved (before LMA), Catherine Valdes. He claims the voices made him do it, they make him do a lot of things.
Phillip M. Lester, doctor at LMA, since 3:57 pm, Friday December 5th 2015. Phillip used to be a patient in LMA when he was 19, but he got better and was released. He wanted to help all these patients the same way he was helped, so they don't have...urges, like he used too.
When these two men met, Daniel (A.K.A. Dan) knew that Phillip (A.K.A. Phil) was the one he has been looking for his whole life, when they were together, Dan was better. But once Phil was ripped away from Dan, he got worse. The voices in Dan's head got louder, and stronger. They had control over him, and once Phil returned 2 years later, Dan didn't remember their past relationship, so he treated him like the rest of the doctors in that god forsaken place. Dan had lost all control, will Phil prove to Dan that he isn't like the rest? Or will more murders be committed?
Trigger Warning: Self harm, slight smut, depression, psychosis, murder
***Note that this fanfiction is using the term demons as the voices in ones head, not like actual demons***

~~ CHAPTER ONE IS PRETTY HAPPY AND CAN BE READ AS A ONESHOT ~~
Dan Howell lived in New York City when he was twelve. And at twelve years old, a giant cat he called Suki lived with him. But he wasn't sure if Suki was real because of two things.
One, she was about six feet tall.
And two, nobody but Dan could see her.
Fast forward to the age of sixteen. Dan still thinks that maybe he's slightly crazy. He's also slightly annoyed, because Suki has escaped the house and is roaming wild through the streets of New York. He breaks out of his family's apartment to go searching for her, and meets a boy called Phil Lester; who can not only see Dan's cat, but has a cat of his own.
They move in together as adults, and live a harmonious life. Dan thinks everything is perfect, but he doesn't know that Phil's mental health has taken a turn for the worse. Phil has begun cutting himself, the only release from the mental illness going on inside his head.
