The world is different than it was, that is the nature of the world. For it to shift and change as time passes. Humans only live a lifetime, enough to see just one version of what the earth can be. Faerie can see everything if they wish. Tundra, just having had her eighteenth birthday, is ready for the world. Ready to see everything, even the dangers that the world holds right now. The Nymphs. When faerie and humans have children together, they can be one of two things. Nymphs or humans. Humans are harmless, left alone. But Nymphs are dangerous. They have unbalanced magic, and a hatred of faerie. They're supposed to be turned in at birth by their parent with faerie heritage, but since faerie, especially the males, didn't always stick around after dallying with humans, or the Faerie mothers can't stand to turn their children in, the Nymphs live. Tundra has never seen one, but knows they lurk in the human world waiting to catch and torment Faerie. She's also deathly afraid of them, but she won't let that stop her from seeing the world... There was a Spirit. A Spirit Wolf to be exact. She had fluffy white fur, and some parts as inside her ears, her paws, and her eyes glowed.This particular Spirit preferred to be alone. She did not like company. Only 2 years ago a raven wouldn't stop bothering her. Surprisingly, this bird became her beloved companion. He helps her with her job as a spirit-and distracts her at times. The Spirit Wolf's job is to bring life and to pass life. Bringing life is to help plants grow and to watch over all of the new mothers in spring. To pass life means to let a corpse sink into the ground and become one with earth itself. If the creature that passed had a good life, the Spirit would put them into the afterlife. If they died a very unfair death or was too young for their life to be over, she would help them reincarnate. She could not reincarnate a creature every time it was killed, though. It would only make them have infinite lives. The Spirit Wolf seemed unhappy when she did her job, but she enjoyed seeing the faces of pure happiness of the new mothers. To summarize her duty, she needs to keep the law of nature in order. Even though she despises humans, she helps them too.

If Lucia gets a kiss by the merman, she'll be a mermaid for all eternity. If the princess gets a kiss from the prince on land, she will be human again. If not, she will be lost in the world of water.
