Lynn Covell has always struggled with her weight throughout her childhood. But as she reaches age sixteen, she suddenly becomes unhappy with her weight. Almost thirty pounds above the average girl's body weight, she becomes desperate to shed off a few pounds. Turning towards a fellow blogger who goes through eating disorders, Lynn follows the dieting routines which quickly turn into a habit. Journeying through anorexia and bulimia, she quickly develops many other mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety. Lynn's anorexic addiction becomes more dangerous than she could ever tell, and it soon endangers her life. Lynn, oblivious to the fact that she has passed her goal weight, wants to lose more and more weight. Not only does this eating disorder become addicting, it also consumes her life.

Slowly, she's drifting away from the real world into a world of her own, and pieces of her every day disappear and then she realises, but it's too late. Or is it? It's never too late to change...     Rita becomes strict with her eating, everyday the number of calories she eats gets lower and the amount of time she does cardio gets higher. She practices of managing her starvation by distracting it and never catches a break on the scale. Nobody is aware of it, it was something Rita doesn't want her friends or family to know, hiding her body from them didn't last long. Her mother noticed the dramatic weight change on her body. She tries to help her get back to her eating and tells her many times that she's "perfectly skinny" but nothing works. Her mother puts her foot down as Rita started to get ill, her mom takes her to a mental health hospital. She deals with consequences from her nurses and other patients.

But how can you pull yourself out of a hole where you can't see the edge? Amy does make new friends and she even falls in love but everything is on the verge of falling apart. How does she plan on keeping her 'new habit' a secret? and when will Amy really understand?
