You know you aren't normal when you find out you can move things with your mind, make people believe and see the impossible- or anything that makes you different and not fit in with anyone.
Some people may think having powers are for the better good. While others just use it as a destruction of the world or an advantage to have things that others can't have without having to go through trouble, meanwhile those who are curious have better plans. 

A strange and devious company is out to stop people with these abilities with the help of someone who is mad with power, while two strange men who use an abandoned church as a base try and find others like them to stop this company from destroying them.

A nuclear explosion wipes out a small town in Indiana, which either kills, or rewrites the cells of anyone caught in it's range. Some people weren't able to handle it's affects, others have been changed. Everyone who survived was given a supernatural ability. Hallie Osborn was affected by the explosion, and was one of the few people her age who survived, and is taken into a hospital of sorts for people like her. Finn doesn't remember anything outside of the hospital, the first thing he could remember was the chemical tank. He's not sure why he's put in there so often, but isn't allowed to ask many questions. He's eventually introduced to the rest of the gifted, he explains to Hallie his time in isolation, not understanding how important he's become. The doctors and therapists are keeping many things from the gifted, and with the help of Finn, Hallie's going to figure out what.

Striving to aim for higher popularity ranks to ensure their safety, this was literally a battle to survive and become the strongest. The better your reputation, the less likely anyone would bother you. At the top stands the Student Council, possibly the most rotten out of the school, while at the bottom, the new IAI joins. The war between Humans and Anthros has lasted for over 50 years, and while humans may be disadvantaged against the Anthros higher strength, speed, endurance, and intelligence, they still beat Anthros with improvisation, adaptability, and tactics. The war has destroyed all four Eastern continents, leaving behind a creature both Humans and Anthros call Reapers, who are husks of the person they were. The Anthros have near complete control over North America and are fighting Humanity in South America, but the main human bases are located on the Hawaiian islands.
