In this adaptation of Sleeping Beauty, there are three kingdoms, two of whom get along. There is a king and a queen with a beautiful daughter, an evil witch, three good fairies and a handsome prince.

Sleeping Beauty is my favourite Disney Princess. This idea is inspired by the Disney film, a bit of the original tale and mostly from a dream I had a few years ago.

Sleeping Roses
Kilan is on the run. From men he knows all too well in a forest he does not know well enough. And running into that tree didn't help. But when he wakes up, the forests are the least of his concerns. Kilan finds he has stumbled upon a castle, hidden deep in the woods, filled with servants and young masters who feel like they might just be more then they seem. And there are the thorns. Thousands upon thousands of thorns that cover the grounds and yet only cover one tower - why? And what about the dreams? The girl in the rose room? She seems so real, almost familiar, and yet he can only see her when he sleeps within the castle walls. She isn't there and he has not the time for a Sleeping Beauty. He has other things to contend himself with, in reality - in the waking world. His most prized possession is gone. A story book that means the world to him is lost within the forests - or worse, someone has their hands on it. Above all, it must be found, he has no time for a girl in dreams and the curse placed upon her - he writes fairy tales, he does not live them. He must find the book and be away from the strange Rose Castle. But someone has already noted his presence and has taken an interest in him. Before a Once Upon A Time
Did you know that the reason that Maleficent curses Sleeping Beauty is for love? Or that the genie from Aladdin was a mass murderer? Or that the Big Bad Wolf wasn't so big or bad? There are some interesting things you never knew or even thought to ask about your favorite(or least favorite) characters. Well, since you didn't think of it, it's a good thing I did. And here's the answer to all your fairy tale needs (Or at least some of them. Hopefully at least a few. Maybe not any. But you should read it anyway, because who knows? You might have a question that you never realized you had.) Eretria has been raised by Maleficent since she entered The Moors. Our main character Eretria is beautiful, selfless, brave and fierce but most importantly she is now the main Protector of the Moors. Can love bloom when its least expected and with someone like Borra? I don't own the characters from the movie Maleficent. Just my imagination at work here.
