Seven times I found myself writing those letters. Seven times I closed my eyes to forget that I had done it. When I close my eyes I don't feel sadness, anger, or pain. It's like a breather, a little pause before returning to reality. How can a man's life be summed up in such a simple, everyday, even natural act? When I close my eyes, no one is torturing me, I can't hear my mother crying, there are no incompetent children making my life impossible, I am not controlled like a puppet, I am not trapped between two sides, I have no debt to pay. When I close my eyes I see Lily, I hear that story I loved as a child, I see a starry night in the forest, myself making potions, and lately, a beautiful young woman with brown curls.
