This is a collection of short stories and flash fiction which I was inspired to attempt writing by my Twitter friend, Marcy Peska. Why Lemons and Melons? Well, I'm aiming for them to be short and sharp or short and sweet.
I hadn't written anything this short since I was at school. Writing a complete story in such a short narrative was a serious challenge and I hope I've done the first two stories justice. For inspiration, I happened upon a short-story competition in Writing Magazine with the theme 'Lost Love' - and then noticed it was only open to magazine subscribers. Undeterred, during a train journey to London (to not see Foo Fighters 'Broken Leg Tour'...) my imagination wandered as I explored all the possibilities for 'Lost Love'. The Wedding and Found At Paddington are the first two stories which sprang to mind. Let me know what you think...All Rights Reserved
