After the death of her fiancee five years ago, Katie moves to LA trying to start her life again. The job she finds is with a handsome player Cai Blackwood. Working as his personal assistant for his big multi-million dollar recording/producing label, Katie finds herself maybe falling for her boss. Having to take leave to go back home to Texas to help out on her families ranch, Katie thinks this is the best way to clear her head of Cai. Yet something's from her past are creeping up and don't make sense. 

Cai may be a womanizer to Katie, but he suddenly realizes that he has feelings for his sexy southern, assistant. When Cai seems to be getting into too much trouble with the press, his only way out is to head to Texas with Katie to hide out from all the attention. Yet, something doesn't feel right to him when he gets there. There is something about a death that doesn't seem to add up.
