3,2,1. 3 seconds. That’s how fast a person can fall in love. It all happened in slow motion. How a boy and a girl fell in love at first sight. I know it’s cliché but no matter how hard you try not to fall, you’ll still crash too hard anyway.
He was there working as a barrister serving coffee to all those giggly all-too-fake, blonde Barbies coffee. One of them even flirted openly with him. I hid myself behind my book as I silently watch him underneath my long bangs. He seemed to play no attention to the girls as- I just realized a heartbeat too late- that he was walking towards me, watching my every movement, losing me in with his dark brown eyes as he took in my appearance . I swear my heart was beating 100 miles for hour now. 
The small bell above the café door rang loudly signally the arrival of another customer. I looked up from the vain, fake barbies and saw a tall brunette walking in and take a seat next to window. Without a word, she took out a book and busied herself reading it, letting her long bangs cover her face. From what I could see, she had porcelain skin with a slight tinge of pink. She looked up and locked her green eyes with mine.

Sounds like the perfect love story to begin with. But fate has never meant for them to meet or ever fall in love. So many decisions are made and theres no meaning for a happy ever after to exist between them because love is just that unpredictable so as fate. And also because fate is cruel and happy endings just don’t exist anymore.
