This is an assignment for my history class (Hailey already posted hers). Because it deals with slavery, there will be some racist comments made by the characters. This is not meant to offend anyone, it is only context of the times. If it does, I'm very sorry, I don't mean to, it's only an assignment for class.

Your family works with you and you have hope of someday earning your freedom because your owner tells you he will grant you and your family freedom after 20 years of “service”. What do you do to cope with your situation? How do you deal with the tough conditions for five more years? What is your “light at the end of the tunnel?” In other words, what motivates you to keep working?

I know it sounds like a Harriet Tubman story. But this one is going to be a bit different. The twist and turns will be an odd one. I will warn you ahead of time there is going to be terms in here that are not appropriate now. I am not a fan of these terms myself but to keep it with how history was, I will use them. If God is not going to punish the sinner then I WILL. People sometimes say to you, "Don't bother with them, their karma will come back to them someday". That is why sometimes people break themself in order to wait for that moment. But sometimes that moment never comes and you yourself are the one rotting away in this miserable life, so why wait when you could put your hands in it? "You are wrong. Whether I am here or not, your punishment will always come to you, I just.. make it much sooner for you. As I didn't have time to wait any longer", he said with a dark gloomy eyes that had lost their lights. When Shen Wei ran away at the age of 15 years old, he never thought that he would come back again, trying to untie the knot that had been lingering in his heart for years, he came back once again trying to understand some events, but to be honest, for him, it is just an excuse, he just wants to see the lights once again, to be able to proudly says "Mom, I have made it, the sinner have already been punished and you have nothing to worry about anymore". Even if it means to drag others down to hell with him. Shen Wei, "Because since the beginning, we have not been given a choice, we have been entangled in this trap, if we don't struggle to get away, you and I will surely lose. And I.. am not the type of person who will easily let other people bully me" Notes: First time making my own character, I think it will be hard for me to clearly describe how the character would be, but I will try my best. I must say first that the timeline is around the early 20th century.. probably, it is fictional, so there must be things that are different compared to the history. "WHY CAN'T YOU GET IT INSIDE YOUR HEAD?" He trapped my trembling body between his arms and slammed his fist into the wall. I flinch at the sound as I feel tears forming in my eyes. He lowers himself to my level and I feel his breath fanning my cheek causing my breathing to become unsteady. "I love you so much, darling. But you need to learn. You need to learn that you won't be going anywhere. You're mine." With that being said, his other hand slides down to my waist "Your entire body, your mind, your soul. All mine." This is a novel about a topic we technically made up randomly and if there are any mistakes, errors, or just places I could fix and add more details please tell me, I want to make this book enjoyable and exciting to read! Also please be aware that some of these will be notice's and this book does need and have a blood warning and a swear warning! Please do be aware if you can't deal with blood this book does get descriptive (Partly true) and I will be explaining what scars, burns and wounds look like and the pain felt for them. This book is more themed in the future than it is nowadays. You may also find some technology that is more futuristic, and there are things talking about the past. Most of the book is switching between views of the main characters. We want you to expect the unexpected in this book, for example: Most books don't kill off the main character, we want you to think we will kill off one of them.
