A fun little story based on the great game by Capcom. This will be my poke at the awesome series. It will have all your favorite characters: Phoenix, Maya, and Pearly.

Having endured the torture of losing her life alongside of the his, whom she loves more than anything, when awakened and freed, Esme continues to dream of that very loss as a reminder of what she perceives as being incapable. Even after being reunited with him and being undyingly loved by him, Esme continues to muse about that time period amongst other mysteries. It is during Vergil's unloading, Esme is able to find what grounds her to the moment and solidify her place at his side as the strong, devoted, and loving woman she is. **This story follows Stay in the same universe.
