(Complete!!!)
A Red Queen fan fiction that I also have up on Fanfiction. (please don't freak out, I do have a pen name on fan fiction and this is my story. Please don't think I copied and pasted, that would be horrible.)

The Scarlet Guard has been driven deep into hiding after the disastrous attack on the capital, and Maven, the new King of Norta hunts them mercilessly. Their numbers have dwindled and with the new restrictions on the Reds, the rebellion and war they hope to incite seems impossible...

Struggling with her inner demons, Mare Barrow has sworn herself to finding the other New Bloods like herself, and turing them into an army for the Scarlet Guard. They may be the only hope that the fledgling rebellion has. Her inner turmoil continues to mount though as she struggles once more over her feelings for Cal, the Traitor Prince who is in the custody of the Scarlet Guard and struggling with his own demons.

As war looms on the horizon, they must either forgive each other to save what they love, or watch as everything they have ever worked for falls apart before them.

Only one thing is certain in this new dawn:

Two years have passed since Mikael Anik and Estelle Marzena survived the Illyrian Blood Rite and were mated. They've finally settled into their new life together, back in the Dawn Court. However, the peace they've known thus far is almost at an end. For months, Estelle has suffered nightmares of the events that took place on Ramiel, and they are growing worse with each day that her questions remain unanswered. It is time for the mystery to be unraveled, but what will it cost to do so? There is more at stake now than either of them could have imagined. Are they facing an isolated threat, or is it possible that some ancient foe lurks within Prythian's borders, waiting for her chance to strike? Disclaimer: I do not own the ACOTAR series or the characters and places therein. I take credit only for this story and my original characters. This story takes place several years after A Court of Silver Flames and follows the storyline I have set out in my previous fanfictions. This fanfiction may not fall in line with the actual storyline once the ACOTAR series is continued, and it will NOT be updated to match it. Warning: This book, while being a work of fiction, still deals with real elements. There will be chapters dealing with sexual content, rape, abuse, depression, gore, PTSD, and other topics which some might find triggering. He watched as her eyes skimmed over his dark eyes and black hair with barely a reaction. He felt his pride twinge a bit so he went further. Lifting his hands, he let the blood drip from them. Her eyes widened slightly and her chin rose. She looked at his hands then back at him. His dark eyes gleamed in a challenge. "You've not harmed me or mine, faery." She spoke out loud. "Blood does not scare me and neither do you. Keep your dog on its leash." Then she turned and calmly walked back inside. Intrigued now, he went to the window of the house and watched as she reassured her mother that the dog was gone "I'll see you tonight, reckless child." He promised softly. **** Marcus felt himself beginning to wake and struggled to stay in the dream. But it was no use. His eyes opened and he released the pillow his hand was gripping. It was the same one that she had laid her head on every night. His head went into the pillow heavily for a moment, breathing in her faint scent. He hated and treasured dreams like that with equal fervor. He rolled over on his back and stared at the ceiling. It had been decades since she'd been forced to break that promise. He lifted his hand and touched the ring that had been her last gift. It had been decades, but it was yesterday. ***I did not skimp on the steamy scenes so consider yourselves warned ok? There are also a few violent scenes that I'll try to remember to put a warning before so you'll have a heads up. Any of the pictures/artwork were found online so I reserve no rights to those just the story. But I do reserve all rights to the story. This story runs concurrently with "Bloody Desire" and "All Roads Lead to Rome" Awesome new book cover is courtesy of @ScarlettOlivier. She's awesome. Check her stuff out.

What if Evangeline didn't set Mare free? So, essentially it's kind of a what would have happened type of Fanfic. There are going to be a couple of inconsistencies in the story, but just roll with it please! I'm also going to try to make it as perfect (grammar wise) as possible. There are many triggering things so you have been warned. Enjoy this story!!! :D (Also I don't ship Mareven. I just need certain things for the plot.) P.S. I DO NOT own the Red Queen characters in any shape or form. Excluding a few later on, 85% of the characters are owned by the amazing Victoria Aveyard. Also, thanks to my sis @sherlockiandemigod for the new cover!
