One Direction-15 Years

It's been 15 years since Emma gave birth to Grace, but there's always been something missing from her life. Maybe it's her dead-end job as a waitress in a diner, or her lack of a social life. But perhaps it's the painful secret she's been keeping from her daughter her entire life.

Meanwhile, Louis hasn't seen Valerie for 15 years, and he hasn't been the same since she left one night without an explanation. He's an alcoholic, a heavy smoker, and he sleeps with a different prostitute almost every night. He knows his life has continued to go downhill after losing Valerie, but he hasn't been able to find her. It's like she just...disappeared.

And then there's poor little Gracie. Her mother has insisted for her entire life that her father was just a casual one-night-stand and she doesn't remember his name, but Grace can't help but imagine that her father is out there somewhere, longing for his little girl as much as she longs for him.
