Through the ashes of a war that almost led them to extinction, rose the remains of humanity. Learning from their past mistakes, humans chose to live a life full of happiness and contentment. A life free from suffering, despair, disease and unprovoked death was what they aimed to create. This altruistic thought gave birth to an idealistic society called the Centre. Violet Jaeger was a proud citizen of this society and had recently turned twenty-three. She was finally eligible for the quarterly Lottery, the winners of which had the privilege of working for and with the flawless system that governed them. A system kept perfectly in place by its three strong arms - Governance, Research and Military. A perfect score in the designated aptitude test gives Violet the opportunity to choose her path in life. Having always been curious to see what's beyond the confines of her home, she chooses the path that allows her to explore the elements unknown. However, what makes up the unknown ends up surprising her more than she expects.
