Meet Alex Jones, your average 11th grader. Well, except for the fact that she and her friend Doug were nothing to the world but two wallflowers who kept to themselves. Alex wasn't interested in attention, that was until her friend from Utah, Jessie, sends her a book that guarantees popularity and attention for Alex. Alex decides to give it a try, but at what cost?

It didn't take long for Alex's fame in the school halls to build up, and she was fascinated by the world of popularity when the most popular girl in school takes Alex under her wing. 

However, Alex soon sees the dark side of being popular, and her world comes tumbling down when several events cause her to realize being popular isn't all that great. She had lost friends and her true self because of the sudden need for popularity. 

Join Alex as she learns the rough side of popularity and a secret about her past self.

*Warning! Even though this book doesn't have any strong violence or language, I still don't recommend this book to anyone under 13 since it does have drugs mentioned towards the end of the book.*

I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Have you ever liked some guy that is popular, attractive and yet annoying, rude, mean at the same time? I'm sure nearly every girl has. Mikasa your typical girl who likes this really hot guy in her class but doesn't have the confidence to confess to him. Typical, isn't it? But don't think that they'll end up falling in love, that's too cliche. Instead it's going to be a whole twist and turn of events for this girl when she meets a boy called Alex whom she 'befriends.' Alex is the whole opposite of who Mikasa likes. Although, she becomes quite close to him, telling him her crush and him encouraging her and helping her out. Will spending time together bring them closer than just friends? A story that is nothing more closer to reality.
