Meet Alex Jones, your average 11th grader. Well, except for the fact that she and her friend Doug were nothing to the world but two wallflowers who kept to themselves. Alex wasn't interested in attention, that was until her friend from Utah, Jessie, sends her a book that guarantees popularity and attention for Alex. Alex decides to give it a try, but at what cost?
It didn't take long for Alex's fame in the school halls to build up, and she was fascinated by the world of popularity when the most popular girl in school takes Alex under her wing.
However, Alex soon sees the dark side of being popular, and her world comes tumbling down when several events cause her to realize being popular isn't all that great. She had lost friends and her true self because of the sudden need for popularity.
Join Alex as she learns the rough side of popularity and a secret about her past self.
*Warning! Even though this book doesn't have any strong violence or language, I still don't recommend this book to anyone under 13 since it does have drugs mentioned towards the end of the book.*
