In an alternate version of modern London, Julia lives in a state of constant secrecy. The majority of the population has been brainwashed by the repressive government. Rebellion means certain death. Julia meets Winston Smith, and the two fall in love. As they continue to meet in secret, they come closer to the devastating conclusion: there can be no freedom under the watchful eye of Big Brother.

Based on George Orwell's novel, this short story is told from Julia's perspective. I didn't label this as fanfiction at first, but I suppose that it is. 

Dedicated to Michaela Garrity, who gave me the idea to write this after we both read 1984 in English class.

I have an outline and I worked hard to come up with a compelling and consistent story line, but due to the nature of the story (timey whimey stuff!) The Dream Team are planning to meet up in Florida, although Sapnap can't make it until a week after the planned date, forcing Dream and George be alone for the week. As the week passes, tension rises. George still believes that Dream only sees him as a friend, making him fearful to get too close and reveal his secret. Then, Dream meets a girl and they begin to talk... but not about what George would've ever expected. When it feels as if all hope is lost for George, he finally writes his final note to Dream. ⚠️This story contains the following⚠️: Self harm, attempt of suicide, suicidal thoughts, nightmares, swearing I put TW on every chapter with a possible trigger warning Also I wanna clarify that this is NOT the popular Dear Dream. When I thought of the title, I didn't know at the time that there was a fanfic already named Dear Dream. The story was originally going to be named Dear George, but it didn't fit well with the plot, so I named it Dear Dream, and you'll see why (if you still wanted to read this), but uh, there's one on ao3 and it's not this one! :) sorry for the confusion I wish I had the creativity and mind to think of another title :(. He forces her down, punishing her when her defiant spirit hinders his mission. It soon becomes clear that she's nothing like the human soldiers he's used to dealing with. A sense a guilt begins to grow whenever he upsets the girl who both fears and leans into him for protection. Julia and the vampire lord are connected in ways they had never known. Their lives become entangled, bringing them to make decisions they would've never thought possible. Extract from Chapter 1: He unsheathes his blade, and I suddenly wish that he'd go back to poking me. He's going to cut me while I can't move? To torture me? I start to panic again. "No, no, no." I yank on the restraints, and the rope bites into my skin. I pull and pull and try to shuffle away from him. He presses the blade against my neck, and I freeze. "Fearful," he says. I catch a glimpse of his freakishly long canines. The edge of the blade presses on my skin, just enough not to draw blood.

Hello, the reason I wanted to write this well my first idea was dnf, and I always have loved that, like the way it works. I love the lgbtq community too, but I didn't want to make it exactly dnf, I wanted to do it differently, so I took my own ideas and did my thoughts from what my life is like. The "TW" will be at every chapter, so feel free to skip past if you want. Also I love describing peoples eyes so you'll see that a lot <333 thank you!!
