In this dystopian future, Hybrids, a new breed of creatures brought to life by rogue N.A.S.A. scientists, rule the world, making all its inhabitants cower in fear. Unless they lived in The Compound, a safe haven brought up shortly after the discovery of Hybrids. Major attacks are rare in The Compound, but minor attacks occur a few times per year. Carter Webb, a 17-year-old girl, is lucky enough to have lived there her entire life, but she's been alone for most of her time there. Her family was killed in an attack when she was only 9, and since then, Oliver has been the closest thing to family she's had. Their close friendship blossomed into much more when they were 16, they've been together ever since. However, their relationship is jeopardized when Oliver is keeping a secret. A big one. When the secret is revealed, Carter must make decisions that will determine how her life will be from now on. Rated E-10+. *Note* This book has a lot of romance and kissing, but never goes much past making out. *Updates every other week: -Next Update: idk

Ever thought surviving first period-and facing her best friend's boyfriend, whom she recently kissed-would be the hardest part of her day. She was wrong. The world is ending. Literally. Between dodging awkward hallway interactions with her best friend's boyfriend and dodging the apocalypse, Ever discovers she may be the one person capable of saving mankind. No pressure, right? But just when she's barely wrapping her head around her destiny, a mysterious (and annoyingly handsome) stranger shows up. He drives her crazy, yet somehow feels...familiar. And he just might hold the key to unlocking Ever's forgotten past and to stopping the strange, earth-shattering events unraveling the future. As secrets unfold and loyalties are tested, Ever has to make a choice: walk away from the chaos and pretend the world isn't ending or embrace her destiny and risk everything to save it. After all, being a teenager is hard. Being the savior of humanity? That's a whole new level. *This is book one in a series
