tears stroke down my cheek causing him to brush it away.

"who broke you like this Maya?, who made you think you're worth nothing?, who made you hate yourself, who made you think you aren't beautiful?, because hell, darling, you're so fucking beautiful, prefect in every single way", his green eyes burn into mine.

"you're wrong", I choke out, "I'm not any of those things Lucas, I'm worthless, waste of space, pathetic, ugly, fat, depressed, lon-", he cut me off by covering my mouth with his palm.

"stop, okay?, just stop Maya, don't you ever say things like that about yourself, do I make myself clear?".

another tears slid down my cheek and he caught it with his fingers then cup my face.

"you're so beautiful", he whisper stroking under my eyes with his fingertips, "and god those eyes, they're angle eyes, i'm going to fix you Maya hunter heart, even of it takes me my life, I will".

His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
