Kagami Taiga has been on a long trip to get back home. Since being away, a war has broken out among two great lords of Japan. Emperor Kohaku has announced that he's looking for a new group of worriers to help protect the homeland since the death of his own daughter, the Princess, Ume Kohaku. On his way to the Emperor's Palace Kagami had to pass through a thick bamboo forest, rumored to be the home of the Tigress. A young girl named Taiga Shiro, lives within the bamboo forest with her pet and guardian tiger. The two suddenly meet when Kagami faces off against an oddly large Tiger. When it seemed as the two were about to clash a girl with long white hair with matching ears and a tail? Yes, ears and a tail. Little did Kagami know that his fate has been forever changed with this one encounter. Taiga and Kagami both become great warriors to the emperor to help end the long war that has plagued their homeland. In present day the two tigers meet once more, but the Tigress is a little different then the one from the past. With the past Tigress was sweet but strong today's Tigress is hot-headed and is easily offended With a total flip-flop of personalities can the two tigers still have the love their past lives once did or has the times just simply tore them apart?
