The Irish pirates were ruthless. They were armed with typical 5th Century weapons - spears, axes, bow and arrows, and clubs of various kinds. They killed without mercy, and plundered.

So opens Paddy, the story of the evangelicalism of Ireland. A story about Saint Patrick and the Irish people. A story about the druids. A story about the Chieftains. A story about legend.

To save the realm from complete self-destruction, the Gods made mankind a promise: Whoever can make peace between themselves shall bring about a blessing on the realm for a dozen generations. And so it was. 14 aging Kings of the western coast made peace and formed 3 empires. 11 ambitious Dukes arranged marriages to form 9 new kingdoms. 8 proud Lords of the lake settled their feuds and divided the lakeside. 4 greedy Masters of the mining colonies established the mining confederation. 3 holy Priests united the true worshipers to found a ministry governed state. And so the Gods blessed them, connecting souls across the realm so they may share knowledge, skills and companionship. But a dozen generations have passed and the Blessed have not been seen in decades, becoming nothing more than a story. But the story is not finished yet. To remind the realm of the chaos and destruction birthed by war, the Gods showered the realm with meteors as 8 newborns received the last Blessing of the Lords. As the last children to be touched by the Gods, they will be hunted by those who long for chaos to engulf the realm. They will be tempted to use their shared knowledge for their own gain. But if the realm is to survive, they must use their skills to strengthen each other and end the conflict before it can begin. A naive princess and a vengeful slave. A high-born priestess and an orphaned thief. A reserved hunter and an ambitious acrobat. A noble knight and a crooked smuggler.

The Captaincy of the Fianna is a blood right heritage passing from father to son and a position of enormous power in Erin, indeed, second only to the High King himself. Young Finn grows up continually hunted by his father's enemies, who seek his death to steal that heritage. He must find a way to overcome enormous trials, both mortal and immortal if ever he hopes to regain his father's ancestral seat. Will Finn unlock the mysterious secret of the famed Salmon of Knowledge and defeat the hundred-year-deceased spirit of a legendary sage of history who challenges him to a magical game of chess? Will he be able to solve the riddle of the Hag at the Well of Healing Waters? Most frightening of all, how will Finn overcome Aillean of the Flaming Breath, a creature spawned in the dark of the underworld that visits great evil upon the Land of Erin, claiming the lives of any who confront it? Only by victory over these and many other labors will young Finn grow to become the greatest of ancient Ireland's heroes, assuming at last the leadership to guide his countrymen in their noble quest for freedom. His tale is full of the whimsy of Faery, the guiding influences of the gods, and the deepest questions of honor, the code of manhood, courage and integrity.
A Druid's Fate by GamerNerdAWESOME
13 parts Ongoing Mature
Ciarán has lived for centuries, originating from a time before pre-Christian Ireland. It was an era when his people lived in harmony with nature rather than conquering it. He fought against the invaders, the kings, the abbots, and the so-called holy men who divided his homeland between the Christians. Their actions destroyed the land and, with it, his very way of life. The druids banded together to defend their way of life and their home, but in the end, it was not enough. How could it be when they were so outnumbered and so many of his fellow druids slaughtered? And so, most of the other druids who survived, flocked to the new villages and new roles, trying to cope with the new reality that Ireland was not what it once was. With a defeated and heavy heart, Ciarán, lived in solitude for centuries and centuries, hunted by the years in his youth before the Christians came and tore down the sacred and ancient forests. Ciarán is one of the few ancient druids remaining, he spends his time in one of the last remaining ancient groves, protecting it and nurturing it. Since that time since the first of those boats landed on Ireland's shore, Ciarán is not the same druid as he was those years ago. For one, he is one of the most powerful, diving into and perfecting all manner of druid magic, light and dark as he never wants to feel as hopeless as he did in his youth. But fate had other plans. See what happens when fate knocks on his door asking for his help.
