Allisons life is different then what you can expect. Her mother left home and is now missing. Her father has been drinking his thoughts and sanity away, while also putting new marks on Allison's body. Her little baby brother, that she takes care of, only adds to the problem. She has to take care of everything and raise herself and her brother on her own. She is stuck having to go to school. Her end goal is to turn 18 and run away from everything and everyone with her brother. Her life is so sensitive that if one thing were to go wrong she can lose it all. Then a Narcissistic Pretty boy comes into her life.
We're talking about Travis, the Brondendale high's hotty. He got annoyed with Allison's attitude, and what he does to get her to shut her mouth can lead to something more.

Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it.
