The cold breeze hit me back and fourth, again and again as I sit down on the bench in the park thinking. Thinking of all the times my own biological father hit me, spit on me, and yelled at me for no reason.

My whole body ached from what happened tonight. I had to run from that house, the house that I don't, and can't even call home.

Luckily I have school tomorrow and won't have to see him for seven hours.

I lay down on the cold bench and folded my arms around me tightly, trying to ignore the soreness. I was shivering, getting goosebumps all over my arms. It had to be less than 40 degrees out here

I wish my mother was here. I wish she was here with me. Why did she have to go? I was sobbing quietly
by now, thinking how life would be like if she was still alive.
