A retelling of my old TMNT story: The Lost Son In an alternate timeline, long ago, before the events of the 2003 series started, Splinter lost one of the turtles to Bishop when he and his men tried to capture them in the sewers. Believing the youngest one sadly perished, Splinter raised the remaining three, but is still haunted by the nightmares of the one he failed to save. However, sixteen years later, after the Shredder's demise, the family discovers a feral mutated turtle that has escaped from Bishop's lab and is on the run. They captured the feral turtle to whom Splinter believes is the lost son of the quartet. As time goes on, the turtles slowly get to know their possibly lost baby brother and start to open up to him as part of the family, and he, given the name Michelangelo, opens up to the others, too.
