A story about how an alien race invades Earth, they take over an unsuspecting beings body and modify it's cells to bring it to the top of its physical capabilities and even turn it into a weapon. They feed on human flesh, as long as the body hasn't been affected by one of their kind. They were once small in number, but they are slowly growing in number, strength and abilities. These beings keep a human form until they go into attack form, then they are something absolutely gruesome. The apocalypse was caused by an alien raise coming to earth and proclaiming they'll fix the planet. Their way to 'fix' it being destroying humanity with a plague. However they didn't expect the human body to be as persistent as it is, the infection they spread mutating and making humans reanimate with a hunger for flesh. They thought they could contain it, control it even, but it's spreading faster than they thought. The world is dying faster than ever before. And Carisa only want to survive, to make it to the next day, bumping into an Alien she thought she'd be petrified. But upon further inspection... their not that much different that humans. She convinces the leader of their squad, Will, who is also the Deputy of the aliens, to ask to call off the attack. He aggrees, but his request is harshly denied and he and several other aliens defect to the humans side just in time for the invasion by the Ecarian Space Navy [ESN] of Earth...
