After a large storm, the small town of Hillside is plagued by mysterious events. Animal attacks in second floor rooms. Storms hanging over the town for days at a time, with no sign of letting up. People going missing without a trace. Others slowly going insane after witnessing events that are almost impossible to describe. And finally, a mysterious surge in the population of stray cats, who continue to be at the heart of every strange event.

Stuck at the centre of it all are teenagers Rose Jackson, a sullen introvert who feels lost and abandoned by the rest of the world; Destiny Lane and Faith Fairchild, childhood best friends, queens of their high school, and tag team bullies; and Detectives Lowe and Matheson: partners and occasional friends, forced to rely on each other more often than they'd care to admit. Thrust together through an unlikely chain of coincidences, they will be forced to adapt to their new situation and form new alliances fast, or be left behind to fend for themselves. And as the fear and panic continue to spread, with no reason to believe that there is an end in sight, the only group capable of saving the entire town are faced with a difficult choice:

Kill to save who's left, or die trying.

~~~~~
Dark, unpredictable, and sometimes tinged with a touch of humour, Demon Storm is a horror novel that's bound to keep you reading until the end.
The End is inevitable; this much has always been certain. Debate as to the manner in which the world will meet its demise remains a mystery, the details cryptic and well hidden within literature of forbidden knowledge, not meant for the eyes of the general populous ... until now. Unknown to mankind, there exists a common link in our history, the crux of the survival and thriving of human civilization resting upon the shoulders of a small group of individuals. They where there at the Great Flood, at the fall of Troy, and even set the foundation of American Justice in Tombstone Arizona. They are the Neophytes, the knights of the ancient world. Their biggest obstacle is the flaws of human memory, a blank slate with the birth of every new life cycle, but though the body may whither and die in every passing generation, the soul remains immortal, and carries a veiled memory on its own. What secrets remain buried, in the deepest crevices of Michael Archer's mind, he cannot possibly comprehend. When he wakes one morning in an urban alleyway, stark naked and drenched in blood, with no memory of who he is, or how he got there, nothing but questions remain. After a narrow escape from authorities, he is abducted and taken to the Sanctuary; a remote, arcane castle on the Northern border, older than the country itself. There, the Neophytes must unlock the secrets of his mind. Little by little, Michael begins to realize his crucial role in the pattern of the grand design; that of an ultimate theme of good versus evil. He must come to grips with a devastating truth; that if he will not stand against the coming insurrection of terminal darkness, no one will. 30 parts Complete Mature
The world is dying. Heaven and Hell have broken and collapsed, creating a post-apocalyptic landscape that is part purgatory, part platonic world of ideas, blighted by the horrors of the human mind. The sun lies dormant in the east, atop God's tower, while the west is plunged into darkness and haunted by all that lives there. There is no day and night cycle, nothing grows, nothing dies, nothing changes, unless magic is involved. Angels hunt creatures for their blood, to feed it to God so he can finish gestating. Demons kill and destroy aimlessly, their origins inexplicable and unknown. Stranger beings wander the ruins of what's left of the world. Humans need not eat or sleep, caught in a state between life and death. They cannot die or be born naturally, but they can be killed and they can be made. The few that survived with their sanity somewhat intact have locked themselves into warded cities, but their protections are feeble and often ineffective. The Order that united them is long gone, broken into factions known only by the sins for which they have fallen. The Houses that protected them are crumbling, falling into ruin as their members were culled down by angels and demons, as well as their own mad quest to save the world; the Pilgrimage, a vain attempt to steal into Eden and murder God himself. Soon, only the Scions will remain. Those that were left not due to merit, but because they were the last choice for being heroes. Those whose memories and minds are as damaged and eaten through as their world. Those who agreed to take on the mysterious Archons within their bodies and, through that contract, had ancient relics and rituals passed down to them. They converge onto a long forgotten neutral ground, trying to save themselves. A heroic journey through a nightmarish wonderland. A pilgrimage to God's tower, to make the world whole again. To cleanse the world of the horrors infecting it. To kill the God who will doom them all with his birth.
The night of the accident changes everything for Nina, a 16-year-old girl from Minneapolis. All she remembers is hitting the freshly paved street, the name tag Ansley, and her mom running after the wailing ambulance. Waking up from a coma in a hospital bed and being told that she has Schizophrenia, pushes Nina into a state of denial and unacceptance. The only thing keeping her sane while being confined to the hospital is her blooming friendship with Kathy, who also has Schizophrenia. Together, they brave through therapy sessions, and the watchful eyes of the head doctor. When our protagonist and her sidekick are temporarily placed back into High School, Nina comes face to face with Conor. And as most teenage girls would, when confronted by a gorgeous boy, she develops feelings for him. When our duo is thrown back into the hospital, things start to get suspicious. From flower fields and holidays, to late night kisses and time ticking down, Nina is uneasy with the hospital workers, and maybe even the people she thinks she knows everything about. The hallucinations begin to take over Nina and Kathy's life and very nearly drive the two of them to a state of insanity. The workers at the hospital are not who they seem to be, in reality. Knowing who to trust is out of the question. Who is our antagonist? Who lives? Who dies? Is this all a fever dream, or something truly... demented? Will they be able to overcome the building pressure of the unwarned attacks and betrayals, or will the tick-tocking of the clock and clinically deranged staff run them down to their last unwitting days?
