As the narrator, I'm tempted to simply write "Middle Finger" because that is essentially what you'll feel like I'm giving you in telling this story. However, for the sake of not being a complete dick, I'll write a little more than just a description of a disrespectful gesture. This story can aptly be described as crude and deranged. As you may have surmised, a crazy person will be telling this story, and the characters involved are indeed also all crazy in their own special ways. So, given this exercise in mental illness, the topics touched on (in no particular order) in this tale are destruction, death, superpowered wackos, torture, pain, loneliness, chaos, the will to survive, never giving up, giving up and not giving a shit, the desire to protect, failing to protect and causing more trouble than was already present, disappointing and/or abusive parental figures, bullies, unjust punishments, just punishments, racism, violent and usually superpowered fights, sci-fi gadgets, bitterness, sarcasm, twisted and demented comedy, control or lack thereof, weird and awkward high school drama, lies and brainwashing, alien aggression, moral ambiguity, unhinged villains, fantastical weapons, a piece of shit main character, conditional friendship, a fuck load of musical references, anger, fear, depression, extra-dimensional creatures, godly powers, various esoteric connections, pop culture references, and of course, in general, superpowers.

Ferrara is in her final year of uni and while everyone around seems to be getting settled or wild, she feels like her life is stuck on pause. But it's fine, right? She still has half a year to figure out who she is and what she wants after all. Fabio knows exactly what he wants and it just so happens to be completely at odds with what he has to do for his family company. Dragged from Milan to an American college town, he's counting down the days. Except the more he's away, the more he starts to wonder what he's actually going back to... As Ferrara and Fabio meet it's hate at first sight but for some reason they keep ending up in his bed. And it wouldn't be so bad if it was only that - great sex and banter. But it's not. Cause then there are the conversations. And God help them both - they might actually understand each other better than anyone else. ** "So, you're coming today around dinnertime, right?" he asks me the moment I pick up. "Hi. And yeah, it's Friday." "Good. Before tonight - any hard no's'?" "Um..." "Something you don't tolerate or like." "Well, it's actually a good idea to venture into this topic though I thought we're going to talk about it..." I clear my throat before continuing, feeling awkward talking about it in a public space "You know, face to face. I think it would be more adequate for this kind of talk." "Ferrara, I'm at the grocery shop. I don't think there'll ever be a more adequate time or place for this discussion." he tells me after the most irritating sigh I have ever heard in my life and I take a deep breath to calm down. If he wants to talk about our sexual barriers while he's grocery shopping and I'm at a cafe then so be it. "Ok, fine. You can spank me, but I draw the line at anything really hurting or being highly uncomfortable mentally." There's dead silence. "I meant hard 'no's' regarding food, Ferrara. Like intolerance to something or allergies. But good to know."

Adrianna parties and gets drunk and smokes all the time. One day she just can't stand staying with her dad for any longer and goes to her neighbor Daniel's house till her friend picks her up. She went back completely wasted and needed a place to stay for the night since her dad was on her ass about getting drunk so she stays with him. I hope you like the book, there is going to a mild amount of swearing and lots of drinking and smoking. Everything is made up beside the state they live in.
