I stood there gormlessly and horrified as I saw Star struggling to give birth to her foal. My grandpa and dad were trying their best to get the foal out but star was getting worse. As Star was heavily breathing quickly, I started to panic at the state of my grandpa's mare. She's not going to make it. I said repetitively in my head. One final tug and the foal was laying on the floor, in a heap of blood and waterish stuff.
How am I going to take care of a foster filly?.....

A horse ranch. That's where I lived at least. I know, not very exciting to those of you who don't care for this life or think it's all about work. But let me tell you, you're actually quite wrong. It's a very exciting job and the best part is is that I get to work with one of my favorite animals every day. Horses. I know I wouldn't want to have any other life than this. Under the Stars
I always wished I could touch the stars. I would always ask my parents if I could. They would always say that you would have to be gone to do that. I never understood that, until I got my legs chopped off. My parents whispered to each other "He'll be touching the stars soon." I was angry. Furious at them for thinking that I wouldn't make it.
