What about the ones that are not as common? The ones that were replaced by a monotheistic belief system, early on?
After all, we saw what a lack of belief did to the great god, Pan. What could it do to an entire parthenon? And why is there a boy with more power than any mortal has the right to have, running around, and (more importantly) messing up the timeline?

Percy Jackson thought he was finally free. The gods have never been a proper family. Maybe once a long, long, long time ago, they were, but that has definitely changed. Then one day, a great miracle takes place. A little baby boy, one that is meant to change the universe itself, is born. He is the son of a god, and it's safe to assume that he's a demigod, but that isn't the entire truth.
