Alexis is a trouble young girl. Her friends think she's crazy and is digging a hole for herself. She's been pushing them all away. They all think it's a way of her acting out on because her of the recent death of her boyfriend. They've been excusing her behaviour. 
Alexis on the other hand, is dealing with something completely different. She finds her boyfriend is not dead, but very much alive. The horror isn't over just yet, oh no. He's being held captive. Reason = unknown. All she knows, is that she has to complete these tasks given to her by his capturers. She has to complete 21 one of them to see him.  The only thing that keeps her searching for answers are letters after each task completed, written by none other then Carter. Each task is important in their own way. Each revealing a new secret about Carter her boyfriend that she never knew. He has had a double life the entire time.  But... why? What was actually going on ? Why was she apart of this? All she knows is after these 21 dreadful tasks, and secrets. she'll finally know. 
Will she be able to save his life? Or will the secrets show her a side of Carter that she couldn't handle? Will she be able to save her own life?
