We sat by that beautiful lake for what seemed like days. The sun set and his eyes glistened with the fresh color of autumn leaves. That was the moment when the world stood still. When I knew I was completely in love with him. We walked back to the house, hoping neither of our parents would notice the scars of our legs from all the times we tripped over the prickly rose bushes in those beautiful woods from laughing too hard. That night was perfect. Because I had him. But now, it's all but a distant memory. The man is now standing next to me, asking me questions. Questions I don't want to answer. I don't know what his secret it, all I know is i'm now standing here with him, and I am looking into his eyes. The man reminds me of him, and that day that we spent by the lake. I haven't felt like this in years, but now, it's all starting to change. But the one thing that can't change, is the fact that the boy I once loved so deeply, is now gone.
