Cordelia Ashera, a regular mermaid. Almost. Though mermaids are to wait until their 18th birthday to see the surface world, maybe even live on it, Cordelia decides to go up to the surface after a fight with her mother. But a storm may get in her way, stranding her on land. Hurt badly by the storm that pushes her to land, a strange boy named Will takes her in. He can't know her secret but she can't leave until she's healed. And she kind of likes it there.
