"What is she?" I heard a man whisper. 
"I have no idea. Have you seen this before?" Another man whispered. 
"Never." The third voice said firmly. My eyes fluttered open and the three men were quick to notice. One of them looked to be middle aged, and he had a scar running down his arm. Another one of the men was younger, and his eyes had a laughing glow. The third man was the most beautiful person I had ever seen, and he radiated power. He came over and knelt down in front of me. 
"Who are you?" he asked. "Rather, what are you?" 
I didn't understand what he meant. I was a person, wasn't I?
"I-I don't know." His piercing gaze made me stutter, and I was overwhelmed by the mere inches separating our faces. He growled in frustration. 
"I don't know, either. You aren't human, but you're not a werewolf. What are you?" 
I racked my brain for the answer, but I only came up with one word.
