Broken: Kyra is a heartbroken girl. Jay is a heartbroken boy. They live in unstable homes. They have been heartbroken from their break-ups too and tell their selves that they will never ever love again. Jay and Kyra meet. When they do, all Jay ever wants is to make Kyra happy. 

Recovered: Jay cannot bear to see her with parents that beat each other even though both of his parents are dead. Kyra, Jay, and Jay's brother, Shawn, move to California and convince Kyra to come with them. Which would have to include her running away. With the police on their tail, life takes twists and turns. They all change throughout the story.
