Fifteen year old Jamie Grace is an ordinary teenager. She's perfectly happy living with her mother, her sister, and her very, very fat pet corgi in warm, sunny Santa Cruz.

Until freshman year, when everything spirals into chaos.

Before she can fully understand what's happened, she's being separated from the only home, state, and best friend she's known since kindergarten. She finds herself in the chilly forests of North Carolina, being thrown into a highschool five times as enormous as her old middle school, accompanied only by her shy nature and awkward personality. Her only outlet becomes her private YouTube videos, which send a piece of her and her unique talent back home to Nicole, her one and only best friend - the only person ever to know about her videos, or her secret dreams of becoming an internet singing sensation.
