Life in the suburbs isn't easy. Well, at least not in the privatized suburb that is Golden View. Here, every single person appears to be 'perfect'. The Atomic Family: One mother, one father, one daughter, and one son. The epitome families from the American 1950's. Not a single detail out of place... or, at least, that's what everyone on the outside thinks. Within each family are secrets that would ruin the perfect picture that is Golden View.
Each family puts on a happy face, doll faces, if you will, just to seem perfect. That is, until one 'perfect' daughter, Marilyn Jones, decides to expose the dirty little secrets she's learned over the last seventeen years of her life through an anonymous newspaper column called 'Life in the Dollhouse.' Through this column, she reveals every little bit of information that she knows about every last family living in the suburb of Golden View, an action that sparks major rebellion within all children and teenagers living within the gates of their little paradise.
