Caroline Wilk's mother and father had been brutally murdered, her brother kidnapped, and for some reason, Caroline survived. The police called it a miracle. Two months after the murders, Caroline returns to her home where it all happened. she needs to move on but can't with a killer on the loose, a killer who has just found out his third victim survived.

Just when Caroline thinks her life can't get any worse, she meets the person who saved her... sort of person, and he's made himself comfortable in her home, and doesn't seem to be leaving.
